RCS recognizes that our role in the
magazine distribution process is to provide expedited release of these
time sensitive commodities, to insure that the magazines reach the break
up agents as quickly as possible.
Delays at the Canadian border can upset
the balance of this distribution process and result in increased
transportation costs and reduced sales volumes. At RCS we strive to
eliminate errors which can cause delays by combining personal service with
the most advanced technology in the industry.
Some of the features we offer:
Pre-Arrival Review System
(PARS)
This system allows the carrier to proceed straight to
the break-up Agents' premises as the titles are released before the driver
arrives at the border. Thereby eliminating delays at the border.
Computerized Title Listings
RCS maintains complete computer listings of every title; cross referenced
by title code, magazine title, and broker. This enables us to
coordinate the release of each truck on behalf of the carrier. This
is especially important in the case of truckloads with multiple brokerage
representation.
Auto Fax Confirmation
Our computer system automatically faxes to confirm that the information on
titles has been received and the release set up in advance of the trucks
arrival. This also serves as a notification to the agent that the
shipment is on the way. An exclusive server to the industry provided
by RCS.
CADEX
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) allows RCS to prepare and submit all
entries direct to Canada Customs electronically no matter what the port of
release.
